Features of the Newly Released Wampler Pedals Black ‘65 Overdrive Pedal
After nine painstaking months of research, testing and tweaking, the Wampler Pedals Black ‘65 Overdrive pedal has finally been released. It’s an amp-in-a-box which used to be known as the Blackface Overdrive, and sounds for all the world like a cranked mid-60s Fender amplifier in tonality, so much so that expert guitarist Brent Mason, who helped develop the pedal, can hardly tell the difference and “loves it.”

The Black ‘65 features Volume and Gain controls and a three-band equalizer for fine-tuning highs, mids and lows to compliment different aesthetic tastes. To achieve an extra gain boost that goes far beyond the cracking sound you would get from cranking up a traditional Fender amp, go ahead and throw the mini-toggle switch on the box.
Other details that make the Black ‘65 special are its completely original circuitry, a durable powder coated finish, an ultra-bright LED display, the high-grade film capacitors and resistors, a 9v power jack and battery connection and a completely true bypass. It includes Volume, Gain, Bass, Treble knobs, with a Gain-boost switch. Measuring two and a half by four and a half inches, this box stacks well with other pedals.
The Wampler Pedals Black ‘65 Overdrive pedal is available now, currently listed at $199.97. It is backed by a five-year, 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed warranty.
