About Ibanez Acoustic Guitars

Ibanez electric guitars have been patronized very well. However, what many people do not realize that their acoustic line can also brag about the style and sounds. Actually, the company started making Japanese musical instruments in 1900. It operated under a different company name under Hoshino Gakki. They started making guitar instruments until about 1935. Before the 1960s, the company was generally unpopular in the United States until Hoshino Gakki teamed up with Harry Rosenbloom, an American music storeowner based in Pennsylvania. Both decided to change the name to sell out the instruments in the West. Thus, they have come up with the name “Ibanez.” Remarkably, Ibanez acoustic guitars have become marketable with just the name alone.

Some of these early acoustic guitars included those cheap models that were styled after the other guitars that have been popularized by big companies like Fender and Gibson. These early Ibanez acoustic guitars were just exact replicas of the early popular guitar models and were sold at inexpensive prices. With such marketing scheme, Ibanez acoustic electric guitars became more popular.

Today, Ibanez electric acoustic guitars are no longer modeled after the success of the popular models. They now have established their own line of acoustic and electric guitars, some of which have even been endorsed by accomplished players like Steve Vai, Terry Balsamo, Joe Satriani, Adam Blackstone, Andy Timmons, and Mike DeWolf. Some of these popular players even have their own line of Ibanez acoustic guitar models that have been well accepted by a lot of guitar aficionados.

A couple great examples of the Ibanez series of acoustic guitars are the Ibanez AEF30 Acoustic Electric Guitar and the Ibanez AEL20E Acoustic Electric Guitar.  These are great among the cheap acoustic guitars category.

There are many different series of acoustic guitars that Ibanez currently offers:
